To our valued Resellers, Partners and Customers,
In the midst of these new and challenging times, I want to reassure you that Geotab is continuing to operate and is taking measures to address concerns surrounding the developing COVID-19 situation.
Firstly, we want to thank all of the frontline and essential workers across every industry who are working tirelessly and making sacrifices for the rest of us. Our thoughts are with them and their families.
Geotab is fully focused on supporting our Employees, Resellers, Partners, Customers, and the broader community.
We have rapidly developed and implemented policies and plans to help address COVID-19:
- Employees who are able to do so are working from home until further notice. We have also suspended business travel and advised all to refrain from personal trips.
- For office locations remaining open primarily for production and fulfillment purposes, a COVID-19 Employee Protocol and Infectious Disease Preparedness and Response Plan has been put in place for health and safety, which includes personal protective equipment (face masks and gloves), temperature checks, and physical distancing measures to minimize risk.
- Any employee who has tested positive for COVID-19 or comes in contact with someone who has tested positive for COVID-19 will be required to quarantine at their home for 14 days and must be cleared for return to work by a healthcare professional.
- We continue to monitor production, logistics and manufacturing globally to understand the impact to operations, and will respond accordingly to any changes.
Currently, the risk of disruption to our business remains minimal. Many of our teams are enabled to work remotely so we can continue to provide support to first responders such as emergency services, fire departments and police services, along with other public and private fleets that rely on the Geotab platform for operations and delivery of goods and services that are so essential in these challenging times.
Supply chain and production operations continue, and we are working to meet both current and forecasted demands. We have a sufficient supply of components and raw materials to continue manufacturing our core products and do not anticipate any stock issues or changes to costs of these products through Q2 2020. We are monitoring inventory levels daily and adjusting supply per trends, forecasting and orders. Custom products and those products being replaced by newer technology products may be impacted if manufacturing is disrupted. We have begun to publish weekly updates to our Reseller network in MyAdmin and by email, highlighting any current low stock SKUs.
In the event that a significant portion of our Canadian-based production workforce, whether at Geotab or our contract manufacturers, or our fulfillment workforce cannot attend work due to COVID-19 related reasons, we anticipate some impact to our ability to produce certain products or fulfill orders, as this function cannot be completed remotely. We believe that the impact of potential disruptions is reduced given our inventory on hand, geographically-distributed operations, and backup teams put in place.
Geotab is working internally to closely monitor and analyze relevant datasets which may be utilized as helpful resources during the COVID-19 outbreak. As information becomes available, it will be shared appropriately through the Geotab blog and data.geotab.com.

We are listening and responding
Each week, we are updating our partner Resellers with current market insights, program updates and Marketplace Add-In applications that specifically address the rapidly evolving business climate including asset and vehicle utilization solutions, lone worker mobile tools, and options to reduce overall operating mobility costs.
We are listening very closely to what the public health officials are advising and following their direction. Geotab has established a core team dedicated to reviewing the latest developments and government websites in locations where we have employees, in order to determine if any additional actions or advisories are required. This plan is continually reviewed and updated as needed.
Community outreach initiatives are already underway, and we will be releasing more details soon on ways to participate.
If you have any questions, please reach out through your Geotab Account Manager, Authorized Geotab Reseller or Contact Us page. We invite you to join the COVID-19 Action Group on the Geotab Community to connect with fleet peers and Geotab experts, ask questions and find out how others are tackling the pandemic.
We are committed to doing our part to help support the people, businesses and organizations that are part of the Geotab family.
We are in this together,
Neil Cawse
