Improving fleet productivity through the enhanced Assets page
To enhance your experience and boost the efficiency of your fleet, we've implemented substantial improvements to the Assets page in MyGeotab. These enhancements empower you to effortlessly manage your assets, ensure smooth connectivity for tracking devices, and easily perform actions on one or multiple assets.
Use this page to do the following:
- View Summary insights – Filter the most important assets that need attention, including the ones that are Not Communicating, have Low Asset Battery, or have a Loose Installation.
- Quickly filter – Filters are more accessible in the toolbar, allowing you to filter by Asset type along with filtering by Fuel type.

To better reflect industry norms, we’ve adjusted the French term "journée de travail" to "poste de travail" in all our French translations of our Geotab Drive documents.
What else is new from Geotab
New California intrastate ELD regulation
The state of California is aligning its intrastate Electronic Logging Device (ELD) regulations with the Federal FMCSA ELD mandate. Effective January 1, 2024, commercial drivers who drive intrastate within California will be required to use ELDs instead of paper logs to track records of duty service (RODS) data.
To find more information, reference the California Intrastate ELD Notice.
Maintenance Insights now available through the Geotab Data Connector
With the addition of the new Maintenance Insights data set and template, Geotab Data Connector now provides a more complete view of your operations (such as Asset KPIs, Predictive Safety, and now Maintenance) in one dashboard through your preferred Business Intelligence software, such as PowerBI or Tableau.
Geotab’s Data Connector Maintenance Insights leverages rich data to help identify your fleet's top maintenance issues and which groups to focus on first:
- Fault codes – Keep track of maintenance-related fault codes such as Electrical System Ratings, Water in Fuel, Anti-lock Brake Systems, Engine Coolant and more.
- Daily operational application – Recognize active issues and see how long they have been active for in order to address them in a timely manner.
- Historical trends – Understand how maintenance issues have been trending over time at both the vehicle and the issue level for more long term decisions.
Geotab receives industry-first CARB Executive Order for its aftermarket telematics solution
Geotab has received the telematics industry’s first Executive Order (EO), officially granting Geotab an exemption from anti-tampering regulations for its aftermarket telematics solution, which includes a GO kit and select compliant T-harnesses.
This development makes Geotab the only aftermarket telematics provider that has a CARB-compliant solution that includes the relocation of the OBD port during installation.
