Anthony Roberts has always been passionate about helping others. His story is a powerful example of the importance of mentorship, empowerment, and fostering inclusivity at Geotab and his community. Anthony joined Geotab in 2019 and progressed into the role of Senior Customer Delivery Manager, where he guides customers through the onboarding process and ensures they successfully integrate Geotab’s solutions. ‘’Over the years, I’ve had the opportunity to help countless individuals and teams get up to speed, ensuring they have the knowledge and tools they need to succeed,’’ said Anthony. ‘’As the company evolved, so did my role, allowing me to grow alongside the business while staying focused on what I love most: empowering others through training and education.’’ A typical day for Anthony is dynamic, and involves collaborating with internal teams such as Sales, Support, and Product, to address customer needs and proactively solve challenges. ‘’The impact of this work is significant—by delivering a smooth and efficient onboarding process, we help customers improve their fleet operations and drive long-term success. Seeing our customers reach their goals and maximize the benefits of our technology is one of the most rewarding aspects of my role,’’ he said proudly.   Beyond his role, Anthony is committed to helping others through mentorship and supporting the next generation of talent. ‘’As a Black professional in the automotive and tech space, being a leader and innovator means driving change, breaking barriers, and creating opportunities for those who come after me,’’ said Anthony. ‘’It’s extremely important to me to foster inclusivity and representation, which is one of the reasons I embraced the opportunity to be a BIPOC lead. Throughout my career, I’ve been fortunate to have great mentors who guided and inspired me, and I want to do the same for others—supporting and empowering the next generation of diverse talent to thrive in this industry.’’ More than anyone, Anthony’s son Demar, who has Rubenstein-Taybi Syndrome, is his greatest teacher. "Having a child with special needs completely transformed my perspective," he reflects. "It has deepened my empathy, strengthened my resilience, and given me a unique lens on leadership, inclusion, and advocacy,’’ he said. Navigating challenges with Demar has reinforced my belief in the power of mentorship, support systems, and creating opportunities for those who may be overlooked. This experience isn't separate from my work; it informs how I lead, mentor, and drive meaningful change in every aspect of my life." When asked about his future aspirations, Anthony shared, "I hope to inspire the next generation of Black professionals in STEM, automotive, and fleet technology by leading with authenticity, mentorship, and advocacy. Representation matters, and I want young professionals to see that there is a place for them in this industry—whether as an engineer, innovator, or leader.  Anthony’s story is an important reminder that true leadership goes beyond one's role —it's about inspiring change, fostering inclusivity, and paving the way for future generations to thrive.
