ENMAX Power Corporation unlocks real-time insights on fleet performance with telematics

Find out how ENMAX Power, an Alberta-based utility corporation, gained real-time visibility across its fleet of more than 500 vehicles with Geotab. By gathering and analyzing data across its wires operation, they could implement proactive vehicle maintenance, simplify compliance through digital reporting and increase driver safety. ENMAX first explored a telematics solution to expand fleet oversight for their Alberta-wide wires business. Detailed reporting on vehicle status and utilization has made it easier for fleet managers to confirm the right vehicles are always ready for the right jobs. Using digital diagnostics organized by Geotab, the company can proactively plan vehicle maintenance to extend the life of their assets and simplify compliance. “One of the features I really love is the Geotab Drive solution. Not only has that digitized our paperwork, but it allows crews in the field to be able to have that with them at all times. It's helped us move our compliance game forward,” said Ryan Greir, Mobile Fleet Manager at ENMAX.

In addition, Geotab’s driver scorecards and other safety metrics have helped the company protect their staff and promote good driving behavior. Geotab also enables stronger situational awareness of vehicle location, allowing rapid response to emergencies and service needs. When an ENMAX driver was involved in a collision, Geotab immediately alerted a fleet manager and helped first responders know exactly where to find the vehicle.
