GeoTach by Evestel now available on Geotab Marketplace

London, UK – April 9, 2019 – Geotab, the world’s leading connected vehicle company for smart city and fleet, today announced the availability of GeoTach by Evestel on the Geotab Marketplace.

Developed by technology company, Evestel, the solution provides a Remote Data Downloading (RDD) system for European digital tachographs which integrates with Geotab’s telematics solution. This integration will help fleets remotely manage driver and vehicle tachograph data, allowing them to ensure compliance with EU regulations as well as host intelligence from their digital tachographs in one central platform.

Many fleets currently face issues with disparate systems and data silos which make vital data difficult to access and action. By providing up-to-date, insightful data on driver working hours straight into a smart, central system, GeoTach will aid fleet managers in ensuring that their commercial vehicles are being used safely and securely, keeping both their drivers and other road users safe.

Alongside this, GeoTach will help fleets ensure compliance with regulatory changes in advance of the introduction of Smart Tachographs, mandatory from 15th June 2019. Compatible with all digital tachograph brands, GeoTach supports the new regulation and its RDD eliminates the need for time-consuming manual downloads, helping improve overall productivity.
