AI-powered ‘Active Insights’ recognised for Innovation in Service, Maintenance, and Repair (SMR)

LONDON, United Kingdom (April 26, 2023) - Geotab Inc. (“Geotab”), a global leader in connected transportation and telematics solutions, is pleased to announce its recognition at The Great British Fleet Awards 2023, ‘highly commended’ for Innovation in Service, Maintenance and Repair (SMR).

The commendation recognised Geotab’s Active Insights solution: a free, turn-key intelligence engine that leverages a customer’s fleet-generated data, together with more than 3.5 million vehicles in the Geotab ecosystem, to act as an ‘AI fleet manager’ to complement any team.

As Active Insights continues to learn, it proactively identifies opportunities across the fleet suggesting Rulez, Zones, Groups, and other features to enable fleet managers to maximise safety, productivity, and sustainability across all of their connected vehicles.

By predicting upcoming maintenance requirements, Active Insights helps reduce costs by minimising unscheduled vehicle downtime, which can cost up to £2,000 each day per vehicle for a last-mile delivery fleet.

“We’re thrilled to have been recognised at The Great British Fleet Awards this year for our innovation in the Service, Maintenance, and Repair space," said David Savage, Vice President, UK & Ireland, Geotab. “We have one of the industry’s largest data science and AI teams, processing more than 55 billion data points daily across more than 3.5 million vehicles. Active Insights is a prime example of our longstanding commitment to research and development, saving fleet operators money by leveraging data intelligently.”

Active Insights is free and available to all Geotab customers on all rate plans. Some Insights require Pro or ProPlus subscriptions to collect the data required by the models. Additional information is available here

As of June 2024, Geotab announced the legacy Active Insights page will no longer be supported. While the Active Insights page is going away, all of the great insights provided within Active Insights will be made available via other methods within MyGeotab. Please reach out to your Reseller or PAM with any questions.
